Alex Jimenez returned to AC Milan in the summer, but he has yet to replicate the amount of minutes he was previously getting, and a move could be on the cards.
When Milan purchased the Spaniard in the summer, there were no complaints, and the majority saw it as good business done by the Rossoneri to offer competition to the young talent at the club, if not the senior players.
The chances of his challenging within the first team were boosted when Zlatan Ibrahimovic stated that he was to be Theo Hernandez’s deputy this season, but this has not been the case. Instead, Paulo Fonseca has looked elsewhere, and questions have been asked about the lack of minutes for the returning full-back.
It should not be an issue with performances, given his Futuro minutes have often been fruitful, so perhaps, it is just the Portuguese head coach’s preference. Nevertheless, a move away could now be on the card.
As AS (via Milan News) report, Valencia are eyeing up a move for the young defender after Thierry Correia’s injury. The Spanish outfit have a budget for the winter mercato, and it is possible that a loan deal is explored, given it would benefit all parties.
