West Ham are now in advanced talks to sign RB Leipzig striker Andre Silva.

The club have identified a new striker as a priority this January transfer window, with many linked with a potential move, including Evan Ferguson of Brighton.

Silva has to date been considered a somewhat backup option while the club explore other avenues, however it appears that talks today for the Portuguese international have progressed to an advanced stage.

Club insider ExWHUEmployee of The West Ham Way has advised that progression has been made and it appears a deal to secure the player could be at arms length as the club look to strengthen for the second half of this season.

“West Ham have been in talks with Andre Silva today and talks are said to have progressed well,” stated Ex. “He is an option that we have said might be the easiest one to secure. The club will make a decision whether to go ahead with it soon compared to other options.”
