Chelsea centre back and perhaps forgotten man Wesley Fofana has provided an update on his injury recovery via social media.

Reports suggested that the centre back would be out until next season after suffering a horrific knee injury, however some fans may cause for steady optimism after he posted a picture of him walking on the treadmill.

It must be such a horrific experience for Fofana, not being able to play games and being consistently side-lined with big, long term injuries over the last few years.

Footballers get paid lots of money but many forget the human aspect, to be seeing your team mates on the pitch every week and the fans chanting knowing you can do nothing but be patient.

I wish Fofana a speedy recovery and that he comes back much healthier and can avoid another setback so he can fulfill his potential, as his natural talent cannot be questioned.
