FC Barcelona are facing FC Seoul in a pre-season friendly as they continue to ramp up preparations for the 2025/26 season. The first half saw Barcelona go into the break with a 3-2 lead, with new #10 Lamine Yamal netting a brace and Lewandowski scoring one.
Hansi Flick completely changed the XI in the second half, with Inigo Martinez and Eric Garcia missing out. Gerard Martin was deployed as a center-back, with Hector Fort getting a chance to play at right-back against the South Korean side.
Just 10 minutes into the second half, which Barcelona were clearly dominating, Andreas Christensen lined up a shot from 35 yards out and caught the ball so cleanly that it nestled into the corner of the net. It was a crazy striker from the Dane.

Gavi would get credited with the assist for the goal, but the Barcelona #6 would be the first one to hold his hands up and admit that he had nothing to do with Christensen’s strike. It was a great moment to see the Danish defender celebrate after all that he has been through.
The past 12 months have been injury hell for the experienced former Chelsea defender, and it would make him feel good to come up with such a striker so early in pre-season. If Christensen can remain fit, he has a huge role to play in Hansi Flick’s team, and let’s wait and see how he fares in the weeks and months to come.
