Marc Guiu is undergoing his Sunderland medical and his season long loan move should be finalised later on Wednesday according to Sky Sports reporter Keith Downie.
Sunderland agreed a deal with Chelsea for Guiu last week, who only joined the Blues last summer after they activated the £5m release clause in his Barcelona contract.
Guiu struggled to make an impact in the first team last season, and made just three Premier League appearances, but did score six goals in seven Conference League games.
Chelsea have added Liam Delap, Joao Pedro, and Jamie Gittens to their attack, whilst they are working on deals for both Xavi Simons and Alejandro Garnacho.
The attacking reinforcements have pushed Guiu further down the pecking order, and made any chance of minutes very difficult at Chelsea.

Guiu reportedly turned down a loan move to the Championship, and the move to Sunderland will give him a chance to play regular football and show what he can do at this level.
Chelsea have reportedly put a clause in the deal where they will receive a payment if Guiu doesn’t play a certain number of games.
Guiu’s move is yet to be finalised, but Downie has now provided an update on the move and when it’s expected to be finalised.
He took to X.com and said:
“EXCL: Marc Guiu currently on Wearside undergoing a Sunderland medical.

Guiu isn’t the only player to finalise a move away from Chelsea this week, and the Blues have agreed deals to sell both Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and Lesley Ugochukwu.
Dewsbury-Hall will join Everton for an initial £25m, whilst Ugochukwu’s move to Burnley is thought to be worth at least £20m.
Chelsea are still working to move on Raheem Sterling, Ben Chilwell, Axel Disasi and Renato Veiga, but they are now making good progress with their outgoings.
