Newcastle United, Tottenham Hotspur, and Paris Saint-Germain are among the clubs reportedly interested in Christopher Nkunku, with the Chelsea forward enduring a difficult season marked by limited minutes and inconsistent form.

Nkunku joined Chelsea from RB Leipzig in 2023 for £52 million, but a series of injuries and heavy competition in the squad have prevented him from finding his rhythm. His long-term future at the club remains uncertain.

Journalist Ben Jacobs reported that PSG explored a move for Nkunku before deciding against it. Bayern Munich also considered a January approach but ultimately passed, though Sport Bild’s Christian Falk suggested they could revisit the idea later this year.

Now, another club has reportedly entered the race as Nkunku weighs up his options in search of a fresh start after a frustrating spell at Stamford Bridge.

Fichajes reported Monday that Tottenham are one of the clubs showing the strongest interest in signing Christopher Nkunku. According to their sources, the club views him as a key addition and is open to negotiating an initial loan deal that includes a €45 million option to buy.

Recently, TEAMtalk reported that Bayern Munich and Newcastle United have also explored the possibility of a summer move for the 27-year-old.

Nonetheless, former Man United and Blackburn chief scout Mick Brown spotlighted a major concern that Nkunku might have with the Magpies.

“Newcastle have been looking at Nkunku from Chelsea,” Brown told Football Insider. “But it will depend on whether Alexander Isak is staying or going.

“I don’t think Nkunku would be a direct replacement for Isak, but who is? He’s an option who could provide something different to their attack. But if Isak is staying, where does Nkunku fit? He wants to play regular football.

“Newcastle won’t be able to offer him that unless they sell first, which at the moment is unlikely. I think the player is open to staying in England, though, and he’s a better player than he’s been able to show at Chelsea.”
