Venezia are reportedly hellbent on securing an agreement with Inter Milan over the transfer of Gaetano Oristanio.

The 21-year-old is a Nerazzurri youth product who spent this campaign on loan at Cagliari.

While he couldn’t carve himself a regular spot in Claudio Ranieri’s starting lineup, he still made 25 Serie A appearances, contributing with two goals and an assist for the Isolani.

The Italy U21 starlet is unlikely to find sufficient space at Simone Inzaghi’s court next term. Therefore, he could be on the move yet again.

Over the last few weeks, Oristanio has been heavily linked with a move to Genoa. His name popped up as a possible makeweight either in the Josep Martinez operation, or a possible deal for Albert Gudmundsson.

But according to Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, Venezia are making plans to sign the young attacking midfielder.

The Venetians are looking to bolster their ranks following their return to the top flight.

Hence, the Lagunari have reportedly identified Oristanio as a profile capable of adding flair and skills to the final third.

Venezia Eager To Poach The Services Of Inter Milan Youngster Gaetano Oristanio

As we reported last week, Venezia’s sporting director Filippo Antonelli was at Inter’s headquarters for a meeting with his Nerazzurri counterpart Piero Ausilio.

Interestingly, Oristanio’s agent Beppe Riso was simultaneously present at Viale della Liberazione.

So it appears that Venezia have been working on overtaking Genoa in the race for the Inter youth product.

Di Marzio believes tomorrow could be a decisive day in this regard, as another meeting will take place between the two parties.

As the journalist tells it, Venezia will try to take the opportunity to close the deal.
