Report – Inter Milan Monitoring Genoa Midfielder | OneFootball

Inter Milan are reportedly monitoring Genoa midfielder Morten Frendrup as a target for the last month of the transfer window.

This according to Sky Sport Italia, via FCInterNews. They report that for now the Nerazzurri are just exploring the possibility of signing the Dane, and haven’t taken any real steps.

Inter Milan have been keeping tabs on Genoa midfielder Morten Frendrup for some time.

The 24-year-old has emerged as one of the outstanding midfielders in the Serie A midtable. Particularly in terms of his defensive contributions.

And that may be exactly what Inter want in their own midfield.

Reportedly, Nerazzurri coach Cristian Chivu wants to switch to a 3-4-2-1 formation. And that will mean asking more from the holding midfielders in terms of legs and physicality.

Therefore, Genoa’s Morten Frendrup is certainly a player with the kind of profile that Chivu wants in midfield.

Furthermore, Sky Sport Italia confirm that Inter really are interested in the Denmark international.

However, for now it is just an internal consideration for the Nerazzurri.

Sky report that the Nerazzurri have not made any concrete moves for Frendrup yet. Presumably, they would need to make some sales in midfield first.
