Paris Saint Germain are preparing to part ways with reported Chelsea transfer target Gianluigi Donnarumma according to reports.
The Blues were linked with Donnarumma earlier this summer, who won the treble with the French giants last season.
Donnarumma’s current contract expires in 2026, but there doesn’t appear to be progress on an extension, with PSG expected to complete a deal for Lille keeper Lucas Chevalier.
Chelsea have done good business this summer and have strengthened key areas of the squad, but a lot of fans would love to see a new goalkeeper signed.
The Blues had the opportunity to sign Mike Maignan earlier this summer, but weren’t prepared to meet AC Milan’s valuation.

Sanchez, who impressed in Club World Cup final against PSG looks set to start the season as number one, with Filip Jorgensen once again expected to be back-up.
However, despite reportedly not being in talks for Donnarumma at the moment, Caught Offside have reported PSG are preparing to part ways with the Italy international.
The reports states Donnarumma has made it clear he has no intention of signing a new deal, and they are prepared to sell him this summer, to avoid him leaving on a free in 2026.
Caught Offside add the French champions have told the 26-year-old to explore transfer options, with Chelsea, Manchester United and Manchester City all interested.
Chelsea have signed a number of goalkeepers over the past few windows, but still don’t have a top keeper in their ranks.

However, they signed Belgian youngster Mike Penders for €20m last summer, and the Blues are said to have high hopes for the 20-year-old.
Penders will spend the upcoming season at Strasbourg, and it’s clear Chelsea view him as their potential long term number one, but it feels like there’s a long way to go until he gets to that status.
