According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Real Madrid have no intention of letting Gonzalo Garcia leave, neither on loan nor on a permanent transfer.
The club have firmly closed the door on any offers, despite the 21-year-old forward attracting heavy interest from across Europe following his breakout performances at the FIFA Club World Cup in the United States.
Gonzalo’s emergence has been one of the standout stories of the tournament. Initially handed a surprise starting role in the absence of Kylian Mbappe, who was dealing with health issues, Gonzalo quickly proved he belonged at the top level.
His dynamic displays, composed finishing, and all-round presence have made him the revelation of the competition.
Manager Xabi Alonso has been one of Gonzalo’s strongest supporters within the club. He gave the academy product a key opportunity and is now determined to keep him at Real Madrid.

Even with Mbappe returning to full fitness and Brazilian starlet Endrick pushing for minutes, Alonso is prioritising Gonzalo’s development in-house.
This creates a clear-cut situation heading into the 2025/26 season as there is simply not enough space in the squad for both Gonzalo and Endrick to share meaningful minutes.
While Gonzalo has proven himself ready at the highest level, Endrick may now be the one to go out on loan in search of regular first-team action.
Despite interest from clubs in the Premier League, Serie A, and La Liga, Real Madrid have already rejected 10 approaches for Gonzalo.
The decision shows just how highly the club rate him and signals a significant shift in their planning, as he is no longer just a promising talent, but a player they see as part of their immediate future.
With Gonzalo staying and Endrick’s role still unclear, it is very much possible that the young Brazilian will leave on this summer as he aims to make it to the Brazil national team squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
