Carlo Ancelotti’s troops will of course turn their attentions back towards matters on the domestic front on Saturday afternoon, in a meeting with Cádiz.

All associated with the club will be aware that, should they emerge with all three points, and Barcelona later fail to get the better of Girona, Real will be officially crowned 2023/24 La Liga champions.

In turn, murmurs in the media over recent days had pointed towards the Blancos brass preparing for a potential title celebration tomorrow evening.

As confirmed by The Athletic, though, even in the case of Ancelotti’s side clinching glory in 24 hours’ time, no official club celebrations will take place:

‘Club sources say that it is 100% decided that Real Madrid will not go to Cibeles tomorrow if they win La Liga.’

Just days out from the 2nd leg of the club’s Champions League semi-final showdown with Bayern Munich, it would appear that Real Madrid are understandably eager to keep distractions to a minimum.
