Barcelona currently top La Liga and they boast one of the most valuable squads in Europe and we’ve taken a deeper look at each player’s valuation.

The Catalan club spent plenty of money in the summer transfer window to ensure their squad was competitive. Despite their financial troubles, Barcelona have found a way to remain competitive.

They have some of the best players in the world with the likes of Robert Lewandowski and Marc-Andre ter Stegen, but most of their squad value comes from their youngsters.

It will come as no surprise to learn that Pedri is their highest-valued player right now. The Spanish midfielder is one of the brightest prospects in world football and he is valued at £87.91million as of now.

“He is a player who is on another level, I have seen very few like him,’ Xavi told reporters when discussing Pedri. “He is talented, he is at the level of Iniesta, but Andres had a continuity to the point that he is still playing.

“If we compare Pedri to Iniesta at the moment Iniesta wins easily because he played for so long. For me he is the greatest talent Spanish football ever produced. But Pedri is very good, he has a similar talent.”

Barcelona have been guilty of wasting their money over the years as they have had several high-profile flops. However, with a recruitment strategy now geared towards youngsters, they seem to be on their way back.

Along with Pedri, Gavi is also one of the most exciting players in Spanish football. The 18-year-old has already racked up 84 appearances for Barcelona and is constantly getting better.

The likes of Ronald Araujo, Ousmane Dembele, Frenkie de Jong and Jules Kounde also hold a high valuation of over £50million each.

Dembele in particular has been thriving under Xavi, after some tough years previously. The winger has been much more consistent under the Spanish boss and he regularly delivers moments of brilliance.
