The heat was no issue for the reigning UEFA Champions League winners as they defeated the La Liga side 4-0, with goals from Fabian Ruiz, Vitinha, Senny Mayulu, and Kang-In Lee, who added a late penalty to seal the victory.
Les Parisiens are among the top European clubs participating in the summer tournament in the United States. Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Chelsea, and Manchester City would have taken notice of the ease with which PSG dismissed a very good Atlético Madrid side.
Up next in the group stage for PSG is Botafogo, who defeated Seattle Sounders 2-1 to open up their Club World Cup campaign.
