Can De Bruyne lay on 20 assists at 11/8?
Betfair's wide range of #OddsOnThat markets for the Premier League 2024/25 show that anything is possible and nothing is certain during a 38-game season.
All 20 clubs come into the new campaign, which kicks off on Friday week before continuing across the weekend, with high hopes. So what do the markets tell us about what we could expect over the next nine months?
Below is a short guide to the odds available on some intriguing possibilities in the Premier League 2024/25.
Manchester City's Kevin De Bruyne accumulated 10 assists last season but, due to injury, he only started 18 matches. If he stays fit in 2024/25, the Belgian should surpass that total, but whether he will get 20 assists at 11/8 is another matter.
Two seasons ago, in 2022/23, Bruyne started 32 times and managed 16 assists, but he is now 33 and Pep Guardiola may be tempted to use him more sparingly in a bid to keep him fit.
Elsewhere on the list of Featured #OddsOnThat options, you can get 10/3 on City to win the league and Manchester United to finish outside the top six. That's what happened last year and there is no guarantee that the Red Devils will be better under Erik ten Hag this term.
But United should be better. Their fans will hope that winning the FA Cup can be a turning point for them and, if you agree, you may want to consider the 5/1 on United to finish in the top four and Liverpool to finish outside it.
It sounds unlikely when you consider that last year the teams finished eighth and third respectively. But United have a stronger squad in 2024/25 and we do not know how Liverpool will fare under new manager Arne Slot in the aftermath of Jurgen Klopp's departure.
The shortest odds bets you can have in Betfair's Premier League 2024/25 #OddsOnThat markets are on one or more saves in each match and three corners or more in each match - both available at 4/6.
There were 107 penalties awarded in the Premier League last season. Do you think there will be 120 or more in 2024/25? If so take the 11/10 on the outcome (note that they must all the taken so any penalties that are subsequently reversed by VAR will not be counted). Also note that only once - in 2020/21 when there were 125 - have we seen the 120 mark passed.
As for the players, there's a promising assists bet to had on Bruno Fernandes, Martin Odegaard, Cole Palmer and Mo Salah all notching 10 at 7/1.
Could we see 65 or more red cards in the Premier League this season? It seems a tall order but not completely out of the question at 16/1.
For the same price you can get Manchester City to win the League and Arsenal to slide out of the top four.
And what about the chances of England stars Ollie Watkins, Cole Palmer and Phil Foden all scoring 20 goals? You can back it at 20/1.
This is just a sample of the great variety of options among Betfair Sportsbook's #OddsOnThat markets for the Premier League 2024/25.
They start at odds-on and go all the way up to 500/1 so there should be something for everyone.
