With the 2024/25 complete, our Scout has examined the City players who most rewarded Fantasy Premier League (FPL) managers last term.
Pep Guardiola’s side qualified for the Champions League for the 15th consecutive year with a third-placed top-flight finish in a term where we were hampered by injury issues to key members of the squad.
Regardless, the Blues finished the campaign strongly to confirm our place at European football’s top table next season and once again our players proved valuable assets on FPL.
Here, our expert gives us the lowdown on the term...
Erling Haaland had an extraordinary start to the 2024/25 campaign.
After scoring 217 points in 2023/24 the Norwegian forward was priced at an eye-watering £15.0m for the new season.
Haaland produced 10 goals, three double-digit returns and 63 points in the opening five Gameweeks, prompting his ownership to soar to 7.85m by GW9.
Despite injury, City’s No. 9 still registered 22 goals, three assists and five double-digit hauls for 181-points, making him City’s highest scoring player.
Josko Gvardiol was City’s most popular and reliable performer in FPL.
The Croatian international finished the season on 153-points, more than any other defender in the game. He was also the joint-highest goalscoring defender in the game with five goals.
This season no defender had more big chances (10) than Gvardiol, only Trent Alexander-Arnold had more than his 40 goal attempts and only Daniel Muñoz had more penalty area touches than his 104.
January signing Omar Marmoush hit the ground running with a hat-trick in only his third start and from GW23, among forwards, no one had more shots than his 49.
After his arrival at the Club, only Brentford's Yoane Wissa and Newcastle's Alexander Isak, with eight, scored more than his seven league goals.
