La Liga heavyweights Real Madrid have on Tuesday announced the latest departure from the club’s personnel ranks.

The player to have moved on? Mario Martín.

Youngster Martín has seen his name emerge as a prominent one in the transfer chatter across Spain over recent weeks.

This comes after word was forthcoming that a number of La Liga clubs were expressing an interest in the signature of the talented 21-year-old.

Aware of the long road ahead of him in hopes of securing regular first-team minutes at Real Madrid, Martín, in turn, opened the door to a potential departure.

Getafe in turn quickly moved to open talks with their Blancos counterparts, over the terms of a loan deal.

And as alluded to above, on Tuesday, precisely as much has been confirmed.

As per a statement across Real Madrid’s website and social media platforms:

‘Real Madrid C.F. and Getafe C.F. have agreed on the loan of Mario Martín for the current season, until June 30, 2026.’
