Nicolas Jackson has officially signed with Bayern Munich this Monday, September 1, 2025. The Senegalese striker joins the German champions on a paid loan with an obligation to buy for a total fee of 81.5 million euros.

The Chelsea-Jackson-Bayern saga has finally come to an end! The Senegalese's transfer nearly collapsed last Saturday. Chelsea had decided to cancel the initial agreement after Liam Delap suffered a thigh injury during their 2-0 win over Fulham. The Blues were worried about being left short of attacking options with only João Pedro as a senior striker available. This situation forced the club to keep their center-forward to avoid a shortage up front.

The Senegal international did not accept this decision from his parent club. Already in Munich, Jackson refused to return to London and pushed his representatives to reopen talks with Bayern. The player's determination helped unlock the situation in the final hours of the transfer window.

"FC Bayern have signed Nicolas Jackson, on loan from Chelsea, FIFA Club World Cup winners. The 24-year-old Senegal international will spend the 2025/26 season in Munich and will wear the number 11 shirt," announced Bayern Munich.

Bayern Munich are paying a loan fee of 16.5 million euros, an increase compared to the initial offer. The obligation to buy will be automatically triggered under certain conditions related to the player's number of appearances. If the transfer becomes permanent in 2026, the Bavarians will pay an additional 65 million euros to Chelsea.
