There has never been any doubt about certain qualities that Frattesi is capable of bringing to Inter.

The Italian international is a massive goal threat from midfield.

Frattesi has scored a remarkable nine goals since arriving at Inter. That in spite of the fact that he is far from a regular starter.

Frattesi has gained a reputation for being prolific at Sassuolo.

And with Inter and the Italian national team, the 25-year-old has taken that side of his game to the next level.

Moreover, Frattesi has certainly looked adept at the physical side of the midfield battle.

The Italian international has been a player who Inter coach Simone Inzaghi has often turned to to try and inject some energy and tenacity into the centre of the pitch off the bench.

Davide Frattesi Starting To Become More Complete Midfielder At Inter Milan

Inzaghi has been wary of making Frattesi a regular starter to date, however.

The reason for this has not been too hard to see.

Frattesi is a player who really plays the game at a high tempo. That has been the only way he has really been able to shine.

But Inzaghi wants his midfield to control matches.

More experienced players like Hakan Calhanoglu, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, and Nicolo Barella have shown the ability to slow down the tempo and build a rhythm in midfield.

That is what Frattesi has needed to show more of to earn Inzaghi’s trust.

And against Udinese over the weekend, there were signs of that.

Frattesi is just starting to appreciate the nuances of Inzaghi’s system at Inter. And the former Sassuolo midfielder could become a top player in his role if he continues down this path.
