Football pundit Ally McCoist seems a little unsure about one pending new Chelsea signing this summer with his latest comments.
Chelsea beat Benfica in the first set of knockout rounds in the Club World Cup on Saturday night, but it was far from easy and also, very far from drama!
Enzo Maresca labelled it a joke that the game got suspended for two hours due to sever weather conditions and slammed the tournament location as a result, and he really does have a point here.
And then came a flurry of late goal with Benfica equalising deep into stoppage time through a penalty to send it into extra time. Chelsea then bagged a bunch of goals to go on and win the game before it got to penalties!
Chelsea are soon going to be announcing the new signing of Joao Pedro of Brighton this summer with just the official confirmations missing now.

Pedro seems like quite a popular signing amongst Chelsea fans, but McCoist isn’t overly sure…
When discussing Pedro’s expected move to Chelsea, McCoist told talkSPORT: “I like him. I think he’s a good player. I don’t think there’s any getting away from that. He’s fitting the bill that they are signing at this moment of time in terms of his age and all that kind of stuff. Where is he going to play? You’d probably think he’s going to come off a side. He can play 10. I’m not sure he’s an out-and-out centre-forward…
“I don’t think it’s a signing that’s made me go, ‘Wow, there is a title-winning signing.’ But I can see why they’ve signed him. Would he improve them? Yeah, he probably would. I’m not sure by how much, though. He’s a player I like. I think there’s improvement in him.”
