Chelsea’s transfer window took dramatic twist after reports revealed the club blocked Nicolas Jackson’s move to Bayern Munich despite the player already flying to Germany.
Bayern Munich'd secured agreement with Chelsea for season long loan with 80m euro option to buy next summer.
Jackson sidelined under Enzo Maresca after the arrivals of Joao Pedro & Liam Delap, was expected to join the Bavarians.
The Blues reversed their stance following Delap’s hamstring injury in the 2 - 0 win over Fulham. With the youngster set for long spell on the sidelines, Chelsea informed Bayern they could no longer release Jackson.
Trusted journalist Florian Plettenberg reported that Jackson landed in Munich for medical tests showing his determination to complete the switch.
However Gianluca Di Marzio confirmed Chelsea've yet to sign off on the loan keeping the move in limbo.
Bayern remain keen, Jackson's pushing but Chelsea’s refusal leaves the deal hanging in doubt. The coming hours will decide whether the Senegalese forward dons the Bayern shirt or stays reluctantly in London.
