Eddie Howe returned and Newcastle United absolutely battered Ipswich Town.
The visitors relegated and the home side taking another big stride towards Champions League qualification.
Ipswich Town showed a little spirit in the first half and a LOT of timewasting.
Their goalkeeper must have had the ball in his possession around half of the opening 45 minutes!
Newcastle United had been increasingly camped around the Ipswich penalty area and it felt only a matter of time before the goals would come.
Ben Johnson deservedly sent off for two yellows.
Then the absolutely useless on pitch referee missed the clearest of penalties when Murphy was so obviously pulled back, VAR saving the ref.
Isak confidently tucked the penalty away and United a goal up.
Newcastle United camped in the Ipswich half after the break and Kieran Trippier with a couple of assists, a towering header from Dan Burn and an even better one from Will Osula followed.
It could have been double the winning margin but Ipswich somehow got away with only a three goal defeat.
The stats reflecting the United dominance, 66 touches in the opposition penalty area compared to only six at the other end for Ipswich, 25 v 4 on shots as well.
United did the business and whilst Chelsea ground out a narrow 1-0 home win over Everton, Newcastle looking good as they exit the weekend third in the table with four matches to play.
