Moroccan Talent Abde Raihani Eyes Career Revival Like Yassine Bounou
Moroccan forward Abde Raihani's determined to reignite his career following path similar to his compatriot Yassine Bounou by leaving Atletico Madrid in search of regular minutes.
Since joining Atletico in 2021 on free transfer, Raihani's found it difficult to break into the first team due to fierce competition from world class forwards.
His contract with the club runs until summer 2027 but the young striker is ready for new challenge that offers consistent playing time.
Spanish media report that Sevilla have placed Raihani on their radar as they look to strengthen their attacking options. The move could mirror Yassine Bounou’s own career turnaround after leaving Atletico in 2016 which eventually saw him shine with Girona, Sevilla and now Al Hilal.
Raihani began his football journey in Catalonia with Sant Andreu & Damm before moving to Atletico’s youth setup. He impressed at U19 and reserve levels, scoring 40 goal and providing 4 assist in just 37 matches.
His only senior appearance came in 0 - 2 La Liga defeat to Alaves in the 2023 /24 season.
