Mohamed Salah is a bona fide Liverpool legend, and one of the best players to ever play in the Premier League.

The Egyptian joined Liverpool from Roma in 2017 and has since dominated both in England and Europe, helping the Reds win both the Premier League and Champions League in recent years. He has consistently been their most deadly source of goals in this time.

Prior to moving permanently to Roma in 2016, Salah was on loan at the Serie A club as well as Fiorentina from Chelsea. He had joined the Blues from Basel (he had played in his homeland before this) in January 2014, but never made a true mark at Stamford Bridge. Their loss was most certainly Liverpool’s gain.

With such an impressive career both in terms of individual and team success, Salah has more than earned his high wages. How high? Find this out and more below.

Mohamed Salah Net Worth 2023

According to celebritynetworth.com, Salah is worth $90 million, which is just under £75 million, give or take a few thousand pounds with the fluctuating exchange rates. This incredible wealth comes as a combination of his salary with Liverpool and his multiple off-field endorsement and sponsorship deals, most notably with Adidas, whose boots he exclusively wears.

What is Mohamed Salah’s current salary?

Per The Guardian, Liverpool made the Egyptian the highest paid player in their history when he signed a new deal at £350,000 a week in the summer of 2022. This includes several performance-related clauses that reward the forward for his goal and assist contributions.

This works out at yearly earnings of £18.2 million pre-tax.

How many goals has Mohamed Salah scored for Liverpool?

At the time of writing, Salah has scored over 170 goals for the Reds to date in under 300 games, giving him one of the best goal-per-game ratios in the club’s history. Just over 125 of these have come in the Premier League, which places him just two behind Robbie Fowler in the club’s post-1992 league goals list.

He is Liverpool’s all-time top scorer in the European Cup/Champions League with 41 goals, 40 of which came in the full competition and one in a qualifying round.

The remaining seven goals of his Liverpool career have come in the other domestic competitions – FA Cup (5), League Cup (1), Community Shield (1).

His goals have seen him land multiple individual honours, which of course have helped Liverpool to major team success since his arrival in 2017.

On top of being Liverpool's top scorer in every full season he has been at the club (5), he has also won three Premier League Golden Boots, outright on his own in 2017/18 and twice shared in 2018/19 and 2021/22. The first and third of these seasons saw him win both the PFA Player of the Year and Football Writer’s Association awards, via Transfermarkt.

How many goals has Mohamed Salah scored in his career?

Salah has scored over 300 goals in his career to date, which means 126 have come for his previous clubs and Egypt. 12 goals came at his very first club, Al Mokawloon Al Arab, who he played for three seasons between 2009/10 and 2011/12.

His time in the Swiss League with Basel saw him score 20 goals in total for the side, which led to his move to Chelsea. An unhappy and largely forgettable 18 months in West London saw him score two goals, one of which came in a 6-0 win against Arsenal in Arsene Wenger’s 600th game in charge of the club.

His goals ratio picked up when he moved to Serie A, with nine in a half season with Fiorentina and then 34 in two seasons with Roma. It was only when he arrived on Merseyside that he exploded into the goal machine we know today.

Salah is no doubt the best ever Egyptian player of all time, but he is not his country’s top scorer, with his 49 goals to date second to Hossam Hassan’s 68. To be fair, Hassan had a staggering 176 caps, which is near double that of Salah. It won’t be a surprise to see the Liverpool man top the list before he hangs up his boots, via Transfermarkt.
