In a recent report, Fichajes mentioned that Manchester United are set to rival Chelsea for Inter Milan wide player Denzel Dumfries. It has been stated that the Red Devils are showing interest in acquiring the services of the Dutch talent in the summer.

Dumfries has enjoyed a solid campaign at the Italian club as he has put in a series of impressive performances for them on the right flank. The 28-year-old has registered three goals and picked up six assists in 33 matches for Inter this season across various competitions.

The Dutch talent has caught the eye at times on the right wing based on his average of 0.7 tackles, 0.8 clearances, 0.7 shots, 0.9 key passes and 0.5 dribbles per game in Serie A. He has even been tidy when distributing possession after completing 79.4% of his attempted passes in the Italian first division (stats via whoscored).

His current contract at San Siro will expire at the end of next season. Hence, it is only logical for the Red Devils to try and get a deal done for him later this year.

The Dutch sensation is a good dribbler with the ball as well. He is primarily a right-winger but can also function as a right-back if asked to do so by his manager. At 28, Dumfries is playing at the peak stage of his career and is well-equipped to make an immediate impact at Man United if he can make a smooth transition to life in England.

The talented wide player would bring more energy and depth to the Mancunian club‘s match-day squad. He has got the experience to help the Red Devils compete for a major trophy in the coming years.
