Manchester City to submit Rayan Cherki offer next week | OneFootball

L’Équipe understands that Manchestr City have made the signing of Olymique Lyonnais’ Rayan Cherki (21) a priority. They are set to submit a bid for the Frenchman next week.

Cherki, who has said that he will leave formative club Lyon this summer, has been the subject of intense interest from the Premier League. He has been linked with Liverpool, Manchester United, and Tottenham Hotspur, however, it is Manchester City who are looking to steal a march on the competition.

The No.10, called up to the France squad for the first time, could even sign for Manchester City in the coming days, even though, contrary to Foot Mercato’s report, he has yet to reach an agreement with the Premier League side. Pep Guardiola has not yet spoken with Cherki, but is expected to soon, and he has already spoken with some of those familiar with the player, including Pierre Sage.

Manchester City want to have signed the player before the FIFA Club World Cup and so a bid will be submitted next week. OL are hoping to garner a fee of around €40m.
