Man City’s Jack Grealish joins Gucci Town in Roblox settlement | OneFootball

Manchester City forward and Gucci ambassador Jack Grealish will host a brand new in-game football experience on Roblox, GQ have announced.

City’s £100 million man signed from Aston Villa in the summer of 2021 has gone from strength to strength in terms of brand deals since joining the Etihad club, with his latest success via Gucci being confirmed last year.

In May of 2022, it was confirmed that Jack Grealish had become a Brand Ambassador for Gucci, creating some brilliant light-hearted banter out on the training pitch. The City forward quickly became known as “Mr Gucci” among some of his closest friends at the club.

Combining Grealish’s relationship with Gucci and the growing Metaverse trend, the global fashion label have now combined the two, sending City’s number 10 into their new Roblox world for players to activate.

As per an official announcement from GQ this week, Gucci will digitally upload their new ambassador Jack Grealish into its Roblox settlement – known as ‘Gucci Town’.

Grealish’s avatar is seen to be wearing one of Gucci’s iconic shirts, with his trademark haircut, and even his hairband – which has become a growing trend among children who see the City star as their football icon.

The partnership, which will see the Manchester City star ‘host a brand new in-game football experience’, is the latest activity to enrich Gucci Town. It is stated that users will be able to play mini-games, ‘repurpose Gucci prints and patterns’ to create digital art pieces, and now, take on a penalty shootout with City’s Premier League champion.

Elsewhere, Jack Grealish could also be set for a brand new boot deal, following the expiry of his now-former relationship with sportswear giants Nike.

According to a recent report from The Telegraph, Grealish has been targeted by Puma – who are also the dominant manufacturer of Manchester City’s kits – for a record-breaking boot deal for a British player.

However, it has also been reported that a source at Nike says they are “still in talks” with Jack Grealish’s representatives over extending their deal with the Manchester City forward.
