Plenty of Celtic supporters really liked the look of the Polish centre-half who arrived in a £4m deal from Legia Warsaw in that notorious summer 2023 transfer window but Nawrocki never quite won over the incoming manager Brendan Rodgers. And ultimately it’s his opinion that matters most as he picks the team.
Nawrocki has always done well when called upon, yet dropped out of the team immediately after his all too brief cameos. Yet he has always been a model professional, never moaning and always remaining upbeat at Lennoxtown.

This move is certainly a good one for Maik Nawrocki – to get back to playing football – and perhaps for Celtic to recoup at least some of the transfer fee a year down the line. Nawrocki off the wage bill this season will be seen as another positive by the Celtic decision-makers.
German journalist Florian Plettenberg from Sky Sports Germany is reporting that the transfer “is a done deal”, with Nawrocki joining Hannover, who play in 2.Bundesliga initially on loan but with the option to buy.
Plettenberg also states that the medical has also been completed, the last paperwork is finalised and an announcement will be made imminently.

That future should look ever so brighter due to the fee we received for his signature and every single penny should be reinvested in the playing squad. We’ve got to spend it there is simply no excuses.
Along with the Jerome Frimpong sell on clause bonus and the impending sale of Gustaf Lagerbiekle we should be capable of landing three or four quality additions to further enhance our starting XI. If not then the supporters and Brendan will have every right to feel aggrieved.
