London City Lionesses midfielder Scofield signs new deal | OneFootball

London City Lionesses midfielder Connie Scofield has signed a one-year contract extension with the club.

WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Pride this afternoon.

Scofield joined London City Lionesses on a free transfer last summer after leaving former club Leicester City. The midfielder went on to make 16 appearances for the Kent club in the Barclays Women’s Championship in which she scored one goal.

There is undoubtedly much more to come from Scofield and she will be aiming to shine for London City Lionesses after agreeing to extend her time with the club.

After signing on again with London City Lionesses, Scofield said “It’s a really exciting time for the Club and I’m thrilled to be a part of it. Although we had our struggles last season, it was always an enjoyable environment to come into and that will only improve with the changes that are happening behind the scenes.

“Michele [Kang] has big ambitions for what she wants to achieve and I’m excited to be back at London City.”

Scofield becomes the second London City Lionesses player to sign a new deal with the club this summer. She follows defender Georgia Brougham in extending her stay with The Pride.
