Mbappe’s relationship with PSG has deteriorated significantly since his move to Real Madrid, with the player now demanding €55 million from PSG as unpaid salary.

Mbappe, therefore, won’t be expecting a welcome response at Parc des Princes. But when asked about his return, the forward said (h/t L’Equipe), “I’m not expecting anything, and I don’t care, the important thing is to win.”

When asked about his ongoing tussle with PSG, Mbappe stated, “I only have good memories with PSG. I wish them the best.”

Mbappe went on to talk about France’s failure in Euro 2024, adding that he has moved on from Les Bleus‘ disappointing campaign.

“Euros? It’s behind me, I’ve moved on. It’s a failure, we were sad, but I quickly put that out of my mind,” he said. “We have to move forward.”

The two goals against Betis lifted a huge burden off Mbappe’s shoulders, especially after a muted start to the campaign that attracted host of criticism.

Mbappe, though, is not too worried about critics. “I don’t know what the critics think, I don’t notice it anymore, I come, I play, what people think is the least of my worries. We can’t please everyone,” he said.

“My time at Real Madrid is going very well and I’m very happy. We’ve already won a trophy. It’s getting better and better. Everything’s going well,” he added.

Many have pointed out that Mbappe has struggled to operate as a centre-forward at Real Madrid. The Frenchman, though, admitted he is comfortable with any position in attack, adding, “I can play in all three forward positions and I’ve done well in all three positions.”

The French international also shed light on his fitness, confirming that he does not any discomfort in his nose.

“I don’t have a broken nose anymore, so it’s been fine since the Euro,” he said. “I feel good. Honestly, physically and mentally I’m good.”
