Kader Meïté (17) picked up the top prize in the inaugural edition of the ‘Golden Kid’ awards, held in Paris on Saturday.

Stade Rennais’ Meïté had a breakthrough campaign, making 12 first-team appearances, scoring twice. In total, 18 players were nominated across six categories. The young French players were selected by a jury, consisting of three scouts from professional clubs abroad, as well as a former player, a journalist who specialises in youth football, and an influencer.
