Manchester United attacker Jadon Sancho could join Aston Villa on loan, with Emiliano Martinez heading the other way, according to The Times journalist Charlotte Duncker.
Sancho is out of favour at the Old Trafford club as manager Ruben Amorim is not a fan, but getting him out of the club has proven to be tricky.
A move to the Midlands on loan could now be on the cards, and Villa manager Unai Emery could be open to the deal given his dire need for attacking reinforcements.
Sancho joined Man United from Borussia Dortmund in 2021 for £73 million but has failed to impress.
He spent last term on loan with Chelsea, notching five goals and ten assists in 41 appearances to help the Blues win the Europa Conference League. They opted against signing him permanently.
The Villans are open to loan deals and signing free agents after being fined by UEFA for breaking their financial regulations.
Sancho is not the only player who could be swapping Manchester for the Midlands, with former Red Devils defender Victor Lindelof also expected to join Villa as a free signing.
The 30-year-old Swede has been without a club since leaving the Theatre of Dreams after his contract expired, but he is set to return to the Premier League to link up with the Villans.
Villa are goalless in two Premier League games this season, and Sancho could be a useful acquisition.
He is desperate to prove himself ahead of the 2026 World Cup, and he could revive his career elsewhere as .
