Inter Milan are racing against time to find new clubs for defender Tomas Palacios and striker Mehdi Taremi before deadline day.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews.

Inter Milan only just signed striker Mehdi Taremi and defender Tomas Palacios last summer.

The Nerazzurri had agreed a deal to sign Taremi on a free transfer in January already. They brought the Iranian international in after his contract with Porto had expired.

Meanwhile, Inter signed Tomas Palacios in the last couple weeks of the summer transfer window.

Inter Racing Against Time To Offload Palacios & Taremi

As Tuttosport notes, though, neither Taremi nor Palacios feature in Inter’s plans after disappointing debut campaigns with the club.

Therefore, the newspaper anticipate, Inter have been aiming to find new clubs for the pair.

In fact, Inter have been searching for solutions for Taremi and Palacios all summer.

However, so far, both remain Nerazzurri players.

There have been a number of clubs that have shown an interest in Taremi. However, none have made a decisive move forward.

At this point, reports Tuttosport, the leading contenders to sign the 33-year-old are PSV, Panathanaikos, Olympiacos, and Lille.

Meanwhile, Palacios has rejected a move to Santos after the Brazilian had agreed a loan deal containing a purchase option with Inter.

Therefore, Tuttosport report, Inter are scrambling to offload both Taremi and Palacios with deadline day just a few days around the corner.
