Inter Milan are not worried about wrapping up a deal to sign defender Tomas Palacios despite delays popping up.

This according to Italian outlet Gazzetta.it. They report that the reason that the deal has not yet confirmed despite the medicals having been completed is that Independiente Rivadivia and Talleres have yet to reach a final agreement.

Inter are now aiming to complete the signing of 21-year-old defender Palacios.

The Argentina Under-20 international is the player who the Nerazzurri have decided upon as their defensive reinforcement for the summer.

Inter have been in talks to try and sign Palacios for a couple of weeks.

The Nerazzurri are prepared to pay a fee of around €6.5 million, plus an additional €4.5 million in add-ons, to sign the Argentine.

Then there is also reportedly a percentage of resale in Inter’s offer.

Inter Milan Not Worried About Tomas Palacios Deal Despite Delays

For the past couple of days, Palacios has been in Milan to seal his transfer to Inter.

Yesterday, the 21-year-old underwent his medicals for the move. He also sealed the last few bureaucratic formalities on his end.

However, as of yet, Palacios is not an Inter player.

And according to this, the reason is that there is still not a final agreement between the two clubs that have partial ownership over the young defender.

Palacios is technically a Talleres player. However, he is on loan at another Argentine club, Indpendiente Rivadivia.

And Rivadivia have a purchase option at the end of December when the loan deal expires.

Therefore, Inter have had to wait for the two clubs to work out the structure of a deal to facilitate the transfer.

As of yet, the two clubs have not yet done so, the Gazzetta reports. That is the reason why the transfer has not gone through.

Nevertheless, the outlet anticipate, Inter do not have any worries. They are confident that Talleres and Rivadivia will reach an agreement.
