Marko Arnautovic says that Inter Milan are “focusing on ourselves” and not their rivals for the Serie A title.
The Austrian spoke to InterTV, via FCInterNews, after yesterday’s dramatic 3-2 comeback win over Monza.
Inter Milan have put the pressure right back on their rivals for the Serie A title.
It was not easy yesterday. The Nerazzurri fell behind to Monza in a real shock, trailing 2-0 just before halftime at the San Siro.
However, Inter responded.
It was veteran former West Ham United and Bologna striker Marko Arnautovic who led the comeback.
The 35-year-old headed home just before the interval to kick off the comeback.
In the second half, goals from Hakan Calhanoglu and a Giorgios Kyriakopoulos own goal sealed the dramatic comeback win for the Nerazzurri.
That put Inter four points clear at the top of the table. At least before Napoli play their match against Fiorentina today. Meanwhile, Juventus take on Atalanta in a six-pointed later today as well.
After yesterday’s match, Inter Milan striker Marko Arnautovic made clear that “We saw that we shouldn’t underestimate any team in Serie A.”
“Because they’re all good teams.”

“In the first half hour, they were ahead,” Arnautovic said. “But when I scored, I didn’t know it, but I already felt the change in the team.”
“I knew that we’d go out and do our job in the second half,” the Austrian made clear.
Arnautovic then admitted that “Inzaghi was a bit harsh with us in the dressing room.”
“Because when you’re 2-1 down at home it’s not easy. But as I said, we responded well and won the match.”
And Arnautovic made clear that “We’re not looking at the other teams, just at ourselves.”
“We did our job in the second half,” the Austrian made clear.
“We won our match. And we just take it step by step without looking at anyone else.”
