Manchester City’s Jack Grealish has been linked with a tenuous interest from Premier League rivals Chelsea in surprising reports emerging earlier this week.

The England international forward has endured a mixed run of form and injury luck throughout the course of the ongoing season, but will be hoping to close the campaign on the ultimate high by winning yet another Premier League and FA Cup title.

Grealish has faced increased competition for the left-sided wing role in Pep Guardiola’s front-three, and alongside his fitness frustrations, has struggled to find the form necessary at time to keep a hold on his place in the starting eleven.

However, as the former Aston Villa captain begins to intensify his form and performances during the business end of the season, fresh claims have linked Chelsea with a transfer interest involving Manchester City once again.

Reportedly turning their attentions to Jack Grealish, Chelsea’s interest follows their successful pursuit of Cole Palmer from Manchester City at the end of the last summer transfer window, in a move that has paid dividends for all involved.

Now however, and offering clarity and a further update on the claims made surrounding Jack Grealish and interest from Chelsea this week, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has stated “it is all quiet” concerning the Englishman.

“I’m aware there have been some slightly surprising links with Jack Grealish,” Romano stated during his latest briefing.

“However, I have zero information on this – Manchester City are not discussing Grealish’s future, not even internally at this point of the season. It’s all quiet.”

Despite Grealish’s frustrations both on and off the field, as well as difficulties in his personal life at times, the Manchester City forward has still managed to register 35 appearances across competitions for the reigning Premier League champions.

Having scored three goals and provided three assists in the process, Grealish will be looking towards the final five games of the season as a clear opportunity to add to his already-impressive trophy cabinet.

The direction of the Premier League title remains firmly in the hands of Manchester City, and should they win their remaining four matches this season, Pep Guardiola’s side will become champions for an unprecedented fourth successive campaign.
