Former Manchester United goalkeeper Mary Earps has completed her move to French club Paris Saint-Germain.

The Parisians announced news of the deal via a post on their official club website this afternoon.

Earps’ contract with former club Manchester United expired at midnight and she therefore joins Paris Saint-Germain on a free transfer. The 31-year-old has signed an initial two-year contract with the French club.

The England international spent five years as a Manchester United player in which she won the Adobe Women’s FA Cup and briefly represented the club in the UEFA Women’s Champions League. Earps made 125 appearances for The Red Devils in all competitions.

After completing her move to Paris Saint-Germain, Earps said “Joining Paris Saint-Germain is a fantastic opportunity. I’m very honoured to become a Parisian and I can’t wait to play alongside my new teammates. Together, we’re going to give our all to help the club shine and make our fans proud. I’m determined to contribute to our future success so that Paris Saint-Germain continues to rank among Europe’s top clubs.”

Earps will play her club football outside of England for the second time in her career. The keeper previously had a short spell with German club VfL Wolfsburg between 2018 and 2019.
