Feyenoord Transfermarkt is reporting that Al Nassr are closing in on the signing of Dávid Hancko from Feyenoord. The defender looks set to leave the Eredivisie and team up with Cristiano Ronaldo in Saudi Arabia, with the clubs agreeing a fee of €35m plus bonuses. Hancko has been a target for many clubs this summer but it appears that the Saudi club have won the race for his signature.

The 27-year-old Slovakian defender has been with the Dutch side for three season, having joined from Sparta Prague in 2022. He has been one of their best players in those three years, playing 140 games, with 15 goals and 10 assists from the back. It is understandable why so many clubs are after the defender who can play as a left-back or a center back. The former Fiorentina man helped Feyenoord to win the Eredivisie during his first season, while also lifting the KNVB Cup the following year. Last season he played 47 games for the club, with four goals and two assists.

Hancko will team up with Ronaldo and Sadio Mane at an Al Nassr team that has not won the Saudi Pro League yet, despite having the Portuguese and Senegalese superstars in their team. However, Ronaldo did help the side to lift the the Arab Club Champions Cup in 2023. There were rumours that Ronaldo would leave the side this summer, but he has since signed a new contract and will likely be happy that the side are bringing in a player of the caliber of Hancko.
