Manchester United have confirmed that Dan Gore has sealed a return to Rotherham United on another loan spell.
Gore first joined Rotherham last January, while Steve Evans was manager of the side.
He impressed during the early stages of life with Rotherham, before he sustained an injury that restricted him to just three appearances. Two of these came in the final two games of the campaign, after Evans was sacked and replaced by Matt Hamshaw.
Hamshaw made no secret of his admiration for Gore, insisting that he was keen on working with him and now, he has got his wish.
United noted in a statement, “Dan Gore has completed a second successive loan move to Rotherham United and is set to spend the 2025/26 season with the Millers, having initially joined the League One side in January.”
“He’ll now hope to build on that in his second spell at the New York Stadium.”
“Good luck, Dan!”
Gore spoke to Rotherham’s in-house media and expressed his delight at returning to the club and playing under Hamshaw.
The 20-year-old said, “I’m buzzing to be back and cannot wait to get started.”
“Being at the club last year, it’s easier to settle in, I already know most of the lads, and it will be good, meeting the new ones too.”
“Conversations with the gaffer have been very positive. He kept in touch over the summer and is delighted to have me back and I’m delighted to be here.”
This is Gore’s third loan stint away from United, having also turned out for Port Vale during the 2023/24 season.
