It’s emerged that Chelsea officials had noticed that PSG reps were already assuming they had won the Club World Cup.

PSG are European Champions and many people see them as the best team in the world at current, and they probably are. But anything can happen in this sport, and one game is one game. But it sounds like PSG were getting complacent and already assuming that they were going to win the game before it was even played.

According to a report from The Times over the weekend, at a FIFA dinner on the eve of the Club Word Cup final, the Chelsea delegation noted how preoccupied the representatives of PSG were with how and where they would collect the trophy. Chelsea’s people informed Enzo Maresca of this and he passed it onto the players.
