Manchester United forward Alejandro Garnacho is on Chelsea’s radar, according to The Athletic journalist David Ornstein.
The Argentina international could be sold as the Red Devils look to raise cash and comply with the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability Rules.
Garnacho fits the profile of the type of winger Chelsea are looking for, but conversations are at an early stage.
Napoli are also keen on the 20-year-old Man United star, but remaining in the Premier League could be more appealing to him.
Chelsea can afford to sign Garnacho, and Man United could be open to doing business for the right price if it helps them to balance the books.
Manager Ruben Amorim has made it clear that Garnacho is dispensable, and it will not surprise many people at the club if he leaves before the end of the winter transfer window.
Garnacho has not covered himself in glory since Amorim arrived. He was dropped from the matchday squad against Manchester City in December due to disciplinary issues.
Man United are ready to overhaul their squad after several years of underwhelming campaigns, and selling players who were previously considered untouchable has not been ruled out.
Garnacho is not the only player who could leave United this month, with Marcus Rashford also linked with a potential exit, and it is unknown whether there are plans to bring in immediate replacements.
