Chelsea want to agree fee of under £50m for Simons

The Blues are said to want eight or nine attacking options in their squad to rotate between next season as they return to the Champions League.

Simons looks like he’ll be the next arrival, but the Blues are yet to make an official offer for the Dutch international.

Simons has made it clear he wants to join Chelsea, with personal terms reportedly almost agreed , and things should speed up now the Blues have made some sales.

It appears unlikely Simons will appear in either of the games against Bayer Leverkusen or AC Milan this week, and Solhekol has provided an update.

He took to X.com and said:

“Chelsea are hoping to agree a deal to sign Xavi Simons for less than £50m.

Newcastle consider move for Jackson

Whilst Chelsea are working on completing a deal for Simons, there are serious questions over the future of Nicolas Jackson.

Jackson has reportedly been offered to three clubs this summer including Newcastle, with the Magpies now believed to be considering a move.

Chelsea reportedly believe Jackson is worth more than the fees paid for Hugo Ekitike and Benjamin Sesko, and it will be interesting to see if any club meets or gets near that valuation.
