Manchester United have reportedly finalised the transfer of Senne Lammens, who has now put pen to paper.
The Red Devils spent the bulk of their summer working on bolstering their attack. They eventually succeeded in signing Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo and Benjamin Sesko.
However, if there were any conclusions to be drawn from their first few fixtures this season, addressing the goalkeeping department must be considered an urgent need.
After witnessing the howlers of Altay Bayindir and Andre Onana, INEOS decided to take action, speeding up their pursuit of a new goalkeeper.
Despite reviving their interest in Aston Villa’s Emiliano Martinez, Semmens had always been the club’s main priority thanks to his young age, great promise and affordable price.

On Monday morning, it was revealed by The Athletic journalist David Ornstein that United were able to reach a total agreement with the Belgian club for Lammens’ transfer. The custodian landed in England before heading to Carrington to undergo his medical tests.
According to Man Utd insider, Sully, the player has already signed his contract, as the club prepares to announce him as their fourth summer signing.
Lammens had also emerged as a potential transfer target for Aston Villa, but he had always considered MUFC as his priority, reveals the source.
Therefore, the Club Brugge youth product will join Ruben Amorim’s ranks, and will be expected to challenge for the starting gloves, with many Man Utd supporters keen to see him get the nod immediately and relieve them from the agony of watching Onana (or Bayindir) between the sticks.
The first indication will arrive after the international break, when Man Utd clash heads with crosstown rival, Man City, on September 14th.
