Pair depart Manchester United just before transfer window deadline
Manchester United have permanently sold Antony to Real Betis and loaned Rasmus Hojlund to Napoli for the season, as part of Ruben Amorim's clearout of unwanted attackers.
United incurred a loss of over £60m on Antony, their second most expensive signing, with the transfer to Real Betis valued at €25m (£21.6m) plus a 50 per cent sell-on clause.
The club will receive a €6m (£5.2m) loan fee for Hojlund, with Napoli having a conditional obligation to buy him for an additional €44m (£38m).
These sales, alongside the £40m received for Alejandro Garnacho, could see United raise £100m in a week, despite still facing a substantial loss on Hojlund's initial £64m transfer fee.
Both Antony and Hojlund had struggled for form and goals at United, with Antony scoring only twice in 59 top-flight appearances after his initial three goals, and Hojlund experiencing a 21-game goal drought last season.
