Benjamin Bouchouari (23) looks set to leave AS Saint-Étienne this summer, according to Foot Mercato. The report suggests that, with just one year remaining on Bouchouari’s contract, the club are looking to cash in on the player while he still holds market value. LaLiga side Girona and Turkish Süper Lig club Trabzonspor are both reportedly interested in the Moroccan midfielder.

Bouchouari came through the youth ranks at various Belgian and Dutch clubs, including R.S.C Anderlecht and Fortuna Sittard. He made his professional debut for Dutch side Roda JC Kerkrade in August 2020.

After two seasons and 68 appearances in the Eerste Divisie – the Dutch second tier – Bouchouari signed permanently for Saint-Étienne in August 2022. He has played 96 times for Saint-Étienne, including 26 appearances during their disastrous 2024-5 campaign, which ended in relegation.

Bouchouari has represented Morocco at youth level and was part of the nation’s 2024 Olympic squad. He made four appearances during the tournament, helping Morocco win the bronze medal.
