Real Madrid have officially confirmed that youngster Youssef Enriquez Lekhedim ‘Yusi’ has left the club to join Deportivo Alaves.
“Real Madrid CF and Deportivo Alaves have reached an agreement for the transfer of our player Youssef,” the statement read.
“Our club thanks him for his work, commitment, and dedication during his time at Real Madrid, and wishes him and his family all the best in this new stage of his life.”
The 19-year-old left-back had been with Los Blancos since 2017, having arrived from the Getafe youth academy.
Having risen through the ranks, Yusi had become a regular in the Castilla setup over the past season while he also earned call-ups to the first-team squad without actually making his debut.
The Spanish-Moroccan youngster even travelled with Real Madrid for the FIFA Club World Cup, but did not feature in the event.
Now, he has bid goodbye to Real Madrid, embarking on a new adventure with Alaves.
Yusi becomes the latest in line of youth departures from the Spanish capital club, following in the footsteps of players like Victor Munoz, Rafel Obrador, and Marvel.
More exits are on the cards, with the likes of Chema Andres and Jacobo Ramon attracting interest.
