Barcelona star Marc-André ter Stegen has this week received an altogether noteworthy transfer proposal, by way of Turkish giants Galatasaray.
That’s according to Diario Sport, who have on Tuesday provided an insight into the situation.
Goalkeeper Ter Stegen has of course been hotly tipped for a Barcelona departure throughout the summer to date.
This comes owing to both the arrival of Joan García, and the contract renewal afforded to Wojciech Szczęsny.
Until now, despite his precarious situation, Ter Stegen himself has refused to open to a potential Camp Nou exit.
But as alluded to above, this has not stopped suitors from across the continent from moving forward with offers for his signature.
As per a report from Sport:
‘Galatasaray, who are looking for a top goalkeeper in the market, are willing to sign him for 4 years on his contract – at Barça he has three left – and to increase his current salary at Barça as long as he leaves on a free transfer.’
For such a scenario to come about, Ter Stegen would be required to negotiate a contract termination with Barcelona, with it currently unclear whether the 33-year-old is open to such a possibility.
