Alan Shearer has chosen the eleven players who most impressed him in this latest round of matches in the top tier.

The player turned pundit naming his Premier League team of the week.

The NUFC legend including three who played pivotal roles at St James’ Park

As Newcastle United put in an excellent performance and picked up a deserved 4-0 win over Leicester.

Jordan Pickford (Everton) “Made several brilliant stops to keep a clean sheet at Arsenal, which is no mean feat.”

Nikola Milenkovic (Nottingham Forest) “His influence is growing by the week. He scored for the second successive match for a Forest team who have climbed into the top four.”

Maxence Lacroix (Crystal Palace) “What a signing he is proving to be! A commanding presence at the heart of Palace’s defence against Brighton’s dangerous attack.”

Lewis Hall (Newcastle) “A constant threat down the left side. He set up Bruno Guimaraes’s goal with a clever header across goal, and also provided the cross for Alexander Isak’s goal.”

Moises Caicedo (Chelsea) “Chelsea’s midfield enforcer stood out again, winning tackles and regaining possession time and again in Brentford’s half. Thomas Frank’s side just couldn’t get out.”

Amad (Man Utd) “He made the difference, firstly winning the penalty that levelled the scores before keeping his cool to score a brilliant winner.”

James Maddison (Spurs) “Two well-taken goals and was back to his best as Spurs returned to winning ways.”

Ismaila Sarr (Crystal Palace) “Will have endeared himself further to the Palace faithful with two excellent goals against fierce rivals Brighton.”

Jacob Murphy (Newcastle) “He ensured there was an end product to Newcastle’s dominance, producing two clinical finishes.”

Alexander Isak (Newcastle) “Caused nightmares for yet another defence with his movement, pace and skill. He got his goal and then laid one on for Murphy too.”

Son Heung-min (Spurs) “Scored one goal and set up two more, and that was just in the first half! He was unplayable for those 45 minutes before being taken off at the break.”
