According to L’Équipe, AC Milan have given up on the idea of signing Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford (27) in the January transfer window. Instead, the Milanese outfit have opted to pursue a move for fellow Manchester-based player Kyle Walker (34) of Manchester City.
Serie A rules indicate that a club is only allowed to register one British player per year. As a result, the 7-time Champions League winners are forced to focus on one target and that appears to be the Manchester City full-back. Rashford’s prospective deal was a complex file. In contrast, Walker has indicated his desire to leave City and has given green-lighted a move to Italy.
The Serie A club have suggested the possibility of a loan move for the defender, whose contract with the Premier League champions is set to expire in 2026. With the 34-year-old making his intentions clear, it is now up to the Premier League outfit to signify whether they are open to a permanent or temporary transfer.
