Zinedine Zidane admits ‘I’ve never seen anything’ like Barcelona star’s performance in Champions League | OneFootball

Former Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane has this week moved to reveal his appreciation for the talents of Barcelona starlet Lamine Yamal.

Specifically, ‘Zizou’ highlighted one particular performance put forth by the 17-year-old on the continent.

Barcelona were of course sent packing from the Champions League earlier this month, at the hands of Serie A heavyweights Inter Milan.

En route to as much, though, Lamine grabbed the headlines once more.

This came after the Spanish international conjured up another pair of scintillating individual performances.

Terrorising Inter’s usually stout backline throughout, Lamine ran riot down the right flank, making use of his quick feet, explosive dribbling and stellar final ball to guide Barcelona mere minutes from a Champions League final berth.

And one individual who could not help but be impressed by such efforts was the aforementioned Zinedine Zidane.

Speaking to Foot Mercato, as cited by Actu Foot, on Monday, ex-Real Madrid midfielder and headmaster Zidane raved:

“Lamine Yamal’s second-half against Inter… I’ve never seen anything like that in my life! To see someone with such control on the pitch, it’s amazing. We all enjoy watching him play.”
