Women’s Super League Fixtures: Chelsea kick off season against Manchester City in opening weekend which includes Merseyside Derby

The 2025-26 Women’s Super League fixtures have been released on Friday morning, and below we take a look at some of the key dates for the upcoming campaign.
Women’s Super League champions Chelsea face a tough start to their title defence as they host Manchester City in the opening game of the season.
The two sides will meet up at 7.30pm on Friday, September 5th, in a game which will be shown live on Sky Sports.
In fact, all six of the opening games will be televised on the opening weekend of the season.
Newly promoted London City Lionesses will open the season at the Emirates Stadium against Arsenal at 1.30pm on Saturday, September 6th, on BBC One.
The rest of the games will all be shown on Sky Sports and take place at 12pm on Sunday, September 7th.
One of the highlights of the weekend will be the Merseyside Derby as Liverpool host Everton.
Elsewhere, Tottenham host West Ham, Brighton face Aston Villa and Manchester United host Leicester City.

The 2025-26 Women’s Super League season will conclude over the weekend of May 16th to 17th.
Chelsea face a tough test on the final day of the season as they host Manchester United, while Arsenal’s summer signings Taylor Hinds and Olivia Smith will return to Liverpool.
Smith became the most expensive player in women’s football history this summer after signing for £1m.
Manchester City travel to West Ham, while London City Lionesses’ first season in the top flight will conclude against Aston Villa.
The final weekend of the season will also see Brighton vs Tottenham and Everton vs Leicester City.
